B. Scarlett Designs is an interior design studio founded on a simple idea: the best homes aren't designed around trends. They're designed around the people who live in them.
We approach each project by understanding how a home needs to function first—how people move through it, gather, entertain, work, recharge, and live every day.
From there, we create interiors that balance function with warmth, character, and a strong visual point of view.

Meet Jackie
Before founding B. Scarlett Designs, Jackie spent 15 years in human factors and usability consulting—studying how people interact with products, environments, and experiences, and identifying ways to make them work better.
That same thinking now informs her approach to interiors. She looks beyond what a room should look like and asks what it needs to do: How will people move through it? How will the family use it five years from now? What could make everyday life easier?
The result is a design process rooted in both creativity and problem-solving—and homes that are as thoughtful as they are beautiful.
Jackie has a B. S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Iowa.
